We outshone the other schools at PEMSHAA, taking the overall Athletics, the Boys and Girls trophy's as well as the Spirit trophy. Congratulations to the athletes and singers who battled on the track, field and stand to take the coveted trophy's home!
The swimmers also ended on a high by maintaining their place's in the swimming league, and having many swimmers swim their personal bests at the swimming events.
B-Bond this year was a tough yet thrilling meeting. Being the only English school in the B Bond we held our ground and fought our way valiantly to end 4th overall, and taking the Spirit trophy was the cherry on top! Congratulations to the many gold medalists and all the athletes who excelled on the day to do themselves and the school proud!
We ended off the athletics season with four of our athletes qualifying for the Gauteng District Event: Nicole and Michelle Redelinghuys, Tarryn Olivier and Miengeto Nyalungu (Mac). Miengeto had to pull out due to injure, and Tarryn and Nicole placed 4th, just narrowly missing out on qualifying for the SA championships. Good luck to Michelle who qualified in her 800m for the SA champs, we wish her the best at the SA Champs.
